MCAR Professional Standards are administrated by OR & WA States through a Contract. If a hearing is called, members of this committee can be called upon to address cases to ensure members adhere to the N.A.R. Code of Ethics. Committee members are called to serve as hearing panelists for cases involving arbitration of commissions and alleged ethical misconduct. (****Members of this Committee must undergo a training process to be eligible to serve on a hearing panel.) Meets as needed. The States also offer a much kinder alternative with an Ombudsman Program to assist in working out issues that may become more severe if not addressed. Training can be offered to the members of this committee to become an Ombudsman if their knowledge of the industry is sufficient to understand the various circumstances and respond in a fair and unbiased manner – note: the program prefers to be able to share ombudsman outside our membership to assist here and vis-versa – MCAR should have members ready to hel
